OMNI Adult and Alternative Education is an award-winning program of Carrollton Public Schools. OMNI has won a National Science Award and OMNI teachers have won a National Science Award and a Crystal Apple Award within the last two years. We offer free classes for people in Carrollton Township and Saginaw County and it's contiguous counties who desire an alternative to regular K-12 high schools or need educational services that fall outside regular K-12 programs, such as GED preparation or English as a Second Language classes.

OMNI Alternative High School serves 14-19 year olds who wish to earn a high school diploma in a non-traditional environment or work toward an Associate's degree at Delta College (with the tuition paid by OMNI!!) while enrolled in our Early College program. We also offer Adult High School Completion, GED Preparation, and Adult Basic Education classes for adults age 20 and older, and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for people whose native language is not English. Carrollton Public Schools is the only school district in the county to offer ESL.

All classes are offered during daytime (and some evening) hours from early September through the end of May at 479 Shattuck Rd. in Carrollton. These classes are consistent with the new Michigan Merit Curriculum, signed into law by Governor Jennifer Granholm in April of 2006. Hence, our students can take pride in mastering the same coursework as do students in regular high schools throughout Michigan. However, the class sizes are smaller, and the teachers provide the extra help that students need to succeed. We offer both traditional teacher-led classes and online classes. All of our faculty are certified and highly qualified (as defined by the State of Michigan) in the subjects to which they are assigned.

OMNI has both a counselor and career adviser who help students plan their own schedules for completing high school and moving on to jobs or college. They also help students manage difficulties that might discourage them from completing high school. For many students, OMNI provides the structure and caring environment they have been looking for.

If you are interested in enrolling at OMNI, please call us at (989) 753-3477 or email us: info@omnienrollment.com. We look forward to talking with you!
